4 Elements is basically a Match 3 puzzle game that has increasingly become popular among the casual gaming fans who enjoy thoughtless games that can entertain and challenge all at once.
Puzzle game fans will definitely love this one. 4 elements was not developed with millions of dollars to back it up. There is none of the expected high-tech graphics and such that can make the eyes and ears water. But one thing for certain, this is a sophisticated, intriguing and virginal approach to casual games and puzzle games that is sure to surprise the gamers.
4 Elements is basically a Match 3 puzzle game that has increasingly become popular among the casual gaming fans who enjoy thoughtless games that can entertain and challenge all at once. The game has a field with grids line up. Each of the cells in that grid are occupied by a shape or a colored block. Basically, the gamer has to connect three or more of the identical shapes and colored blocks horizontally, vertically or a combination of the two. Once the matching cells empty, they get refilled with other shapes and colored blocks that fall from to edge.
Now, many who are aware of what Match 3 puzzle games are would be skeptical about the whole issue for these have been much abused online, especially in social networking sites. The great thing about 4 Elements is its uniqueness that sets it apart. Any and all who gets to play this game are completely intrigued with the many features it includes like a spot the difference puzzle and the hidden object puzzle. The whole presentation is simple and yet it is probably the best thought out.
The major difference of 4 Elements is the opening of the game where, instead of getting right into the matching, there is an introduction about an old world where an ancient kingdom is in ruins because of an unknown plague that hits its environment. The trees have all died, the rivers and streams are dried or frozen and then there is the emptiness in the skies and in the fields. What is surprising is how this narration is presented, the voice is beautiful, the graphics are simple and yet fantastic and the musical score is an absolute iTunes download, if it were available. Now, the gamer is the one true hero in all this troubles and seeking the advice of an old mage give information on how the four elements have been corrupted. These four elements, earth, wind, water and fire, can only be restored if the four magical books of the elements are unlocked. This is when the game begins.
All four books have to be unlocked and the matching game begins, interspersed with the hidden objects and the spot the difference. As there are four books, the games are repeated, but not recycled, four times as well. Ultimately, the gamer will look forward to a total of four hidden object games, 64 Match 3 games and 16 spot the difference puzzle games. This is not bad at all.
As the levels begin, the games are simple enough and it gives one the false sense of simplicity just like the other Match 3 games out there. But then the levels increase and the levels of difficulty progresses. Soon, it can be exhausting in a good way and that is what really counts. Truly, this is one Match 3 puzzle game that is unique and poses more challenges than the strategy and challenge games developed with millions of dollars to back them up. Truly Excellent!
