The camera does get a little out of whack at times, but nothing that takes away from the fun gameplay. I like this game and would recommend it to other people.
Assassin's Creed Bloodlines on the PSP is a game that takes place after the first Assassin's Creed and before the second installment of the game. I am a huge Assassin's Creed fan so I figured I would pick up this game for my PSP. When I first fired this game up I was amazed by the graphics; it really looks great. In my opinion I think it is the best looking game on the PSP that iv played.
As mentioned above this game takes off right where the first game left off. The old villain had a love interested named, Maria and Altair take her hostage in a pursuit to flee the Templars. This will lead you to Cyprus which is an exciting island that is partial to Templar invaders and members of the resistance. It is a really interesting story, but if you are new to this series you might not fully understand it. I would recommend that you play the first game to truly appreciate the storyline. However, it is not a must that you play the first game, if you really don't want to.
Altair's freedom to explore, jump, and climb are truly amazing. Fans of this game will really like and appreciate this game on PSP. The graphics are not going to look as they do on PS3, but still you will be impressed with how amazing the city does look, though. The users interface and menu screens are very appealing too.
Ok enough about the graphics; I have already made it clear they are top notch. So you will have a long sword, dagger, throwing knives, and an assassin's blade. You will be killing Templar guards and engaging in awesome street fights. It is a little underutilized, the fact that you are an assassin, but your stealth kills don't really come that much into play, but I can get past that.
What I mean by not really stealth kills is that you will have to kill a number of different people in an allotted amount of time or just plain kill everyone in order to complete a mission. Not really a stealth approach if you ask me, but there are a couple stealth missions for you to play. But, what I really like is how you have to walk around and at times different guards will catch onto you, then you must fight or somehow evade them.
So there are number of combat scenes in which you must hack away at your enemy. You can perform a number of different combos, but I have found that it is easier to just use quick attacks and chop them down. There are number of boss scenes in which you will have to dodge their attacks and hit them at the correct time with the correct combination too.
It’s not a really deep game but there are variety of collectables in which you can collect. Such as templar coins with a pretty good reward system. It is a game based around a series of little levels VS the deeper gameplay that is offered on console versions. Let’s not forget about the smaller side missions too.
If you are real Creed fan you will like this game and the storyline is pretty good. The camera does get a little out of whack at times, but nothing that takes away from the fun gameplay. I like this game and would recommend it to other people.
