In Azada: Ancient Magic, Titus asks for the playerÂ’s help once more. In this version, there is a really mysterious enchantment that is looming over the books stored in the library of Great Uncle Argus. The characters in the books change and act differently from what they were written to be and it is up to the player to solve the puzzles in these books one at a time to get to the core of the mystery.

Just like any of the point and click games, the gameplay is easy to go through. There are the usual items that need to be found and added into the inventory where they can be accessed later in the game for those puzzles that might need them. There is even the combination of the items to create a new one to make it applicable for a specific puzzle.

In the previous version, the puzzles were only limited into one screen, not with this one. Here, there are multiple puzzles in multiple pages and this is the core to the individuality of the game. Take for example, one item found in one page can be used in another page and so one and so forth. This enables the characters to skip over to other pages if they need to block the playerÂ’s access to an item. The best thing about this new game is that there is not just one book to open and solve, there are now involved 21 books and so many puzzles. So get ready with all sorts of tales coming to life, including Hansel and Gretel and Dracula, the Brahm Stoker version.

Now, for those who want to skip a book and transfer over to another one, they can, in this version. So if the player somehow gets stuck in solving a puzzle, they can relax with that book and go on to another book, just to break the thread.

Now, there are some hiccups along the way but they are not that bad, really. However, some of the other players posted comments and as of this writing, the developers have stated that they are going to improve on those issues and even put in a relaxed mode.

Overall, Azada: Ancient Magic is one attractive, entertaining and highly lovable casual game that is sure to gain a lot of interest from the casual game players like yours truly. It does help a lot that for every book, there is a different melody to play to and this is really making it appear that the developers were focused on making this a casual game that is not so casual.
