Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood follows the McCall brothers, players enter a doomed quest for the legendary Gold of Juarez leading them from a ravaged Georgia during the Civil War to the Aztec ruins of Mexico. The PC version takes them on a lawless trail into the wildest West ever depicted, using their gun slinging skills and killing all of those that stand before them. But when brothers face Lust, their bound of blood feels thinner than ever.  Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood offers a visceral shooting experience, relying on gun skills and upgradeable guns. Whether close or long range, they harness a variety of weapons from heavy caliber canons to machine guns and various pistols for face-to-face duels. Every accurate shot increases their concentration, which allows them to unleash deadly shooting modes when outnumbered, and even deadlier ones when the brothers work together.

Have you ever wanted to be in a western movie? You know the likes, gritty and shady characters hanging out smoky saloons; where people draw their guns at 12 noon? Well, if you have always dreamed of being part of a western movie, Call Of Juarez: Bound in Blood is just the game for you.

This is actually a prequel to another game and while prequels are often looked at as a step back, this game does anything but that. As a matter of fact, it even takes the game one step further then the first game. That said, this game is outrageously intense and very riveting. It takes the best elements from the first game and improves on them while at the same time ditching the elements that detracted from the first game. Turning the game on will immediately take you to the world of six-shooters and moustachioed gunmen right out from the wild wild west.

The first thing that you will notice is that the developers did not spare any expense when designing the game and you will definitely see that in the way they just gave everything in the game the most iconographic western touches. Gun men will have intense eye to eye contact before drawing their weapons; people will have very dramatic demises when they fall of balconies after being shot; why, you will even have all out gunfights in certain areas. Now that is what the wild wild west embodies.

The story line is certainly no slouch as well. It touches upon the feelings and themes that were very prevalent back in the days. You will see themes of greed, honor, betrayal and the like. Why, it even touches upon love at certain points. While these themes are in no way ground-breaking, you will find that they make for a very compelling type of narrative that will draw you in and keep you hooked. Because really, who doesn’t go crazy for westerns with those themes?

There are two central characters to this game and you will find that the transformation of the two undergo will be very surprising, the flow is so well executed that you will understand exactly how it comes about. These two characters add a very important intensity to the game. Just as intense as the gunfights that you will face.

Another great thing about this game is that you will even get to spend some time on horseback and really, just how amazing is that? To add more to the experience, you will even chance upon some Native Americans who will run after you in search of blood.

While your enemies in this game may be a tad bit predictable and more than a little dim at times, they still pose enough of a challenge to keep you riveted and playing for hours. The downside to this is that the game is over just a little too quick especially if you are having tons of fun playing; but on the upside, you can always play it again.
