This game is as good on PSP as it is on the consoles, the games finer elements are brought out of the action gracefully. The game is stunning and with outstanding audio. There are a lot of things to do in the game and you will find yourself tempted to play the game over and over again. However the game too has its bad side, the controls and the camera have some problems.

This is the first game in the series that does not star Jak, the hero. It is also the first game in the series to appear on another system other than a PlayStation 2, and you will like its great look on PSP. If you are a fan of Jak and Daxter you have been previously disappointed but you can be sure to find the very best in this game just like its counterparts in the PS2.The game manages to pack full the console without being dumped down.

You will find the game to have more formulas and if you are familiar with the previous Jak games you will find the formula working well on PSP. The main weapon in Daxter is fierce, electric flyswatter. You will notice a lot of mocking humor in the entire game even from the minute details. It should not bother you that brooding Jak will bring the games mood down. What makes the game loveable is because of how consistently and successfully the existing story and performance gives the game a new spin.

Also the setup of the Haven City and the structure of the game play are both identical to the previous version. When the game starts Daxter is telling stories in the bar and the he begins to employ at the Crtitter-Ridder Extermination Company, this is the only remaining Exterminator Company Remaining in the Haven City.Daxter is trying to prove his worth the Critter-Ridder shop manager,Osmo.

You will find that in each level you have a number of objectives to complete. However there is the main objective of the game which is to kill enemies, destroy insects and their hives or to collect objects. As you go about the major objectives you can also choose to do two possible secondary objectives. Like you could collect metal bug gems, however sometimes completing the secondary objective can be quite hard as much as it is a straightforward action.

Most of the gameplay, one action leads to another and from one area to another. The major thing here is to try maneuver around various obstacles and enemies, but along the way there are some various game play elements. There is the Zoomer which Daxter uses in a number of different missions like chasing down objectives or enemies. You will also encounter other mechanics like in one level you will be required to jump across the tops of moving trains.

The game is a single-player which is a good thing; however there is also a multi-player mode, bug combat which makes a good diversion. In the earlier stages of the game you will encounter some hidden pickups that will be used in the multiplayer. The game has set standards on how PSP can do, with the games great graphics.
