Family Guy Back to the Multiverse for the Xbox 360 is, of course, a game based on the TV show Family Guy. Players get to play as Brian or Stewie as the pair travel to different universes trying to stop Stewie's rival from destroying their own universe. It is a mix of both a third person shooter and platform.

The player mostly has a choice of the two main characters from the show, Stewie and Brian. However, they can switch between characters at any time letting the new one take over the action where the other left off.

The storyline of this game is simple and is based on episodes from the earlier titles in the series, "The Big Bang Theory" and "Road to the Multiverse." The journey takes Stewie and Brian to an alternate universe where Stewie's half brother is still alive and aims to recruit others to kill Stewie by creating a multiverse remote control. Each universe is modeled on a certain theme. For instance, the first universe is ruled by Greeks, the second by the Amish, and so on. The game simply requires players to complete objectives to get to the end of the game.

There are an array of enemies mostly from the show such as the Giant Chicken, Evil Stewie, Long John Peter, and more. Enemies may also be regular townspeople in the different universes, but they are mostly a part of Stewie's half brother's army. The weapons each character has does depend on who the player chooses during the gameplay, and certain missions will require the player to interchange characters in order to complete certain missions. Stewie has all of what are considered the "cool" weapons like laser guns and other types of futuristic hardware, while Brian has standard weapons such as shotguns, machine guns, and hand guns. The weapons can be upgraded as the game progresses.

Family Guy Back to the Multiverse features a co op mode that allows players to play with others locally offline letting players to work together in order to kill enemies and upgrade weapons. The game will appeal to fans the TV show as well as newcomers, and as long as they like third person shooters, and the game this has a huge fun element and a comical story.
