MLB Advanced Media continues to grow its 8-bit revival with new fielding animations, upgraded graphics, and multi-season stat-tracking in R.B.I. Baseball 16. Gamers now have greater control over defensive actions thanks to dives, wall catchers, and fake throws, and players' baserunning abilities are now tied directly to actual Statcast data drawn from the 2015 season. Batting and pitching have been updated, and all of the action is presented with enhanced lighting and graphics. Gamers can work with real 40-man rosters or classic 16-man squads, and multiplayer fans can compete online.
