Fantastic RPG, backed by trendy combat that is both thrilling and exigent all in one breath, makes the success of Resonance of Faith truly resounding.
Super Gamer Dude
Most role-playing game aficionados definitely recommend Resonance of Faith without an iota of doubt. Wrapped in an exciting total package of action adventure, this game brings challenge and difficulty levels that RPG fanatics are fond of. Surviving through the game is one hell of an achievement and winning must be the cherry on top.
The story behind this game lies on finding a solution to earthÂ’s destroyed land by building a colossal tower in the sky. The result of this is a society of monsters and cardinals who want to destroy god.
You are in control of three different adventurers in the story. Vashyron, a strong believer that man makes his own destiny, is the self-proclaimed leader. Zephyr, kind of loony and rather brooding when confronted with adversity, wants to bring things back to their “proper place”. And finally, Leanne who shows a different kind of character from being a mere wallflower to something peculiar once her awful secret is revealed. Though you might find the story a little serious, it is actually comical and light.
Combat wise, this game definitely makes you literally sit with your Xbox for hours. You have to analyze various things like explosive barrels and your enemiesÂ’ movements before they attack you by surprise. The combat focuses on your movement, positioning, and careful planning of your attack. Hero moves are fantastic; though making use of these several times can make your attacks weaker and might be left defenseless. Planning carefully on how to defeat your enemies before they attack is of utmost essence throughout the game. You have to trick your opponent by separating them from a large group to smaller groups to enable you to attack and defeat them easily. Also available is a supply of grenades and elemental bullets which come in handy when you are a bit outnumbered. ItÂ’s not cheating; itÂ’s part of your survival kit.
What makes the battles more rewarding is when you are faced with the boss. Intense boss battles test your acquired skills throughout the game, making your every step and move all too important. Precision is the name of the game and cunning is very necessary in dealing with the bosses.
This game is clearly full of style. The cinematography is amazing as the camera pans around your character during battles. Resonance has taken much effort in perfecting the action aspect in this RPG game. Though battles might be difficult, things become much easier once you progress through the game. With 16 chapters, a story mission and optional side quests, there is an endless pursuit for adventure. However, it is highly advisable to take in the side quests for they give out skills and equipment essential to the next level.
One of the things Resonance might need to improve on is its visuals that become a bit monotonous as you go along. The theme is a bit consistent, too; however, it is saved by the fact that the characters can be given your personalized touch through customization.
It can take approximately over 60 hours to complete the story, which means about the same time and amount of fun and adventure that comprise the Resonance of Fate. Visuals might be distracting for some time, but the challenges, quests and the rewarding feeling of winning is irreplaceable.
