Given that Mortimer Beckett somehow managed to get rid of the ghosts living in his uncle’s house in the first game, it has managed to open a sort of time portal which has allowed some modern day objects to pass in time and go straight into the past and end up in random places throughout time. In this follow up game, which you may have guessed is a hidden object game, the hero Mortimer must travel through time and collect all the objects.

Just like in the first game, the items that you will need to find in this game will be split into several pieces for you to hunt down. Once you have found all the pieces that are missing from the item, it will be placed in your inventory and you can use it to help you solve puzzles and the like. You can use a ladder and place it on the side of a building so you can use it to read the inscription on the banners on the roof. You can reverse the paradox by making sure that you put the items you have gathered back where they belong like for instance, putting a bunch of eggs back in the nest and stuff like that. Once Mortimer has managed to fix all the wrongs in one scene, he will then be able to receive a piece of his uncle’s Time Bomb which is really the key into sealing the time portals forever.

You will have 8 different stages to explore in this game; they range from the historical (such as the French Revolution plus ancient Egypt) to other locations where the lines between what is legend and what is history start to get blurry. It is fun to have the ability to interact with larger than life historical figures and also have the chance to help them as well. You can help King Louis XVI put on a disguise to escape the palace or you can give Hades back his helmet so he can be god of the underworld again.

There are some scenes, like an example is one rowdy tavern full of Vikings, or of two boys playing in front of a Marionette theatre in Parisian Streets; these scenes are well and truly wonderful but perhaps the best scenes are the ones where the portal shows up. These scenes are tricky and very entertaining.

It is quite tricky not to do a double take when you happen to spot a sign for the London underground located in the steps of a pyramid in Egypt or perhaps the Big Ben in the middle of the Nile river. It is always good for some kicks and is good for some laughs. The scenes are very richly made and add to that the sounds that are very appropriate. This game is a very well made game and one that you will surely enjoy playing especially if you like hidden object games. It makes for a very good playing experience.

The Ferrari Challenge is not actually that boring. It also has its share of exciting features such as a good number of race tracks and amazing race physics. Players may get a realistic feel while virtually racing a Ferrari car but its lack of variety would eventually wane the players' interest. To get a picture on how monotonous this game can be, take a look at its F430 Challenge. This game is on single-player mode and simulates actual Ferrari racing which happens in Italy, North America and Europe. A season takes four hours to complete and since there are three different seasons, it would take you approximately 12 hours to complete the game and within 12 hours, you would only be driving a single type of Ferrari car which can be real monotonous even for the top Ferrari car enthusiast.

If you do not want to race using a single Ferrari car for three seasons, then that's too bad because you cannot unlock the more than 50 cars waiting to be raced unless you finish F430 Challenge. If you finish the said challenge, you would be able to use the other cars that range from modern to classic models. As you race along, you will get credits you can use to purchase cars from the in-game store which you can use to race in other single-player races. There are also mini-tournaments and races done on simulated tracks from all over the globe such as in Monza, Infineon and also on Ferrari's home track, Fiorano.

Ferrari Challenge is not that archaic to be classified as an arcade game but it is also not at par with other digital games that are currently offered in the market. It is suitable for beginners as it has controls that are easier to navigate and can get you easier back on track but one of the downsides of this game is that, for its single-player modes, the race features similar types of cars so you would have to rely on your driving skills rather than on horsepower and speed up features to win the race. On the other hand, the good part about this one is that you can somehow customize your racing car in order to enhance its performance but the adjustments are limited to damper strength, alignment and ride heights. You can also apply vinyl on your racing car's surface but you cannot give it a more personalized look such as stick logos on it or import your own image.

Finally, the cars featured on Ferrari Challenge are the best from the company but its graphics do not provide justice to its original versions. If you are a Ferrari enthusiast, it would be good to have this game but if racing is your thing, you should take a look at other racing games for a more realistic and exciting virtual racing experience instead.

You find the hidden objects and you move up a level or you move closer towards solving the puzzle. Now, don’t take this to mean that these games are not challenging because they are. They can provide you with hours of entertainment of frustration; it just depends on your skill and on your mindset. For those people who like this genre of games, then Escape Rosecliff Island may just be your cup of tea. That said, people who are familiar with this game might say that bit doesn’t really offer much of anything new despite some new unlockable modes and mini games. Interested? Read on.

This new game from Spintop games stay true to form when it comes to hidden objects games. You enter one room and you have to look for all the required objects to get out of that room and move on towards the end of the journey. Some people argue that they may have stuck too close to the formula of the hidden objects game but really, with that genre, there is not really much room for innovation. The best part about this game is that it lets you be into some really atmospheric rooms where you have to search for the objects that you need. As with other hidden objects games, you will notice that the stuff that you need to find are very cleverly hidden and you have to keep both eyes peeled to find them. This is the best part of the game since often times, what you need is often right in front of you.

The thing that is great about this game is the game play and some of the things that they have changed just to keep things interesting. It starts out with you getting stranded on an island and then you will be directed to a busy porch or dining room scene that is replete with all the items that you need to find. What is fun about this game is that at times, you will be requested to combine items to come up with the item that is being requested of you. You might be asked to put some eggs inside a nest of a photo inside a frame. The requests are varied and never boring plus they are very challenging. Also, instead of just giving you the exact name of the thing that you need to look for, you will instead be given a clue. For instance, you may be given bamboo eater as a clue and you will then have to click on a panda.

This game is timed so you will definitely feel the pressure once the clock starts ticking. Rest assured that while this has stayed true to the standard Hidden Object Game format, you will still be tickled pink about how well the objects have been hidden and how mind-numbing some of the clues are in this game.

For air flight fans, Flight Simulator 2004 has been developed for more enjoyment for a full aircraft experience. Other gamers make an impression of the game being a straightforward simulation but for those with interests, you will surely enjoy this gaming experience.

During the past many years, people have been employing traditional ways to lift them in the air. However, it was in the past two decades where the Microsoft Flight Simulator made a breakthrough work that makes people sit securely at the comfort of an armchair on land while making the person seem to explore the complicated yet exciting aviation maneuvers in front of a computer monitor.

The previous games as well as the new Flight Stimulator 2004 are very user-friendly that anyone even without previous experience from the game will immediately make a fly in no time. The controls and game options are easily understandable, and the game is well explained. If you still find yourself unready for the action, you can enroll at the flight school included in the game where you’ll have the aviation veteran Rod Machado as a personal instructor.

Flight Simulator 2004 also houses information that is vital in the aviation world such as the civilian flight history, which is well represented in the game. The game mostly makes use of old antique parts and planes.

If you enjoy flying using vintage aircraft or if you are planning to ride one, make sure that you make use of controllers with good peripherals such as ruddy pedals or a joystick that has a twist handle. You will use a lot of the rudders while landing and making a take-off of the Piper J3 Cub, or it will be hard for you to control the Vickers Vimy biplane unless you stomp on the pedal.

The game is somehow similar to its predecessor, the Flight Simulator 2002 in terms of slow an underpowered planes such as landing a taildragger, which is supposedly done in a swift manner.

One good thing with Flight Simulator 2004 is that the weather can be controlled. You can fly at a fine weather whenever you want or make the experience real by downloading real-time worldwide weather from the Jeppesen database that changes every 15 minutes. Though you may opt not to download it, the game can change the weather condition from a clear blue sky during the whole sky trip to a violent storm upon landing.

The graphics are better than the previous release but is not that realistic yet. The buildings are of low resolution that they are best viewed when flying at high altitudes. The interactive cockpits are new and are a good start for the game developers to work out. Unfortunately, they are unattractively presented in the current game. There are a lot of new features that are to excite every gamer.

The game is made realistically enough that even those in real flight schools will be amazed. Still, there is more to the Flight Stimulator series so make sure you get the latest version.

Eve Online: Commissioned Officer Edition offers a life jacket to those who never had the chance to play the hardcore version. Newbies will find they can learn to play this game better and have a better chance of survival than if they try to play the previous version.

This is an adventure game set in space where exploration is the name of the game which will allow the player to build up their power and eventual wealth so they could continue exploring the vastness of space. This edition will allow for a swift increase in the player or character statistics and to make it easier to catch up with the seasoned players.

For those who never had a chance to play EVE Online, prepare for the adventure. It all begins with the gamer picking to play a specific alien race. There are four choices: Amarr, Gellente, Minmatar and Caldari. Each of the alien characters have their own basic personalities and unique personal histories. The choice of which alien to play will not impact the gameplay, however, the gamer will have to go through a tutorial and a creation process. Hold on to your hats, guys, the tutorial is endless, Two hours. This is necessary for this is where the gamer learns the tactics which will improve the playing of the game so patience is a virtue here.

Now, there are times when going from point A to point B may take a lot of time, so go ahead, mix some snacks and drinks, prepare them on a tray, lay down some napkins too while you’re at it, oh, and don’t forget to feed the cat. Now you can go back in front of the screen, sit down, set the table, eat leisurely, stand up, wash the dishes and go back. Aahhh, now the destination is reached. Let’s start playing.

Learning how to translate the tutorials to actual gameplay will take a lot of time. Consider this as a learning process: when flying the plane, don’t forget to buckle your seat-belts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride. Getting blasted out the sky can be easily accomplished, so watch out and remember the tutorial. Now, if by now the readers have not realized that Eve Online: Commissioned Officer Edition is a difficult game, it is time to realize this: it is a difficult game. This is not for the fainthearted, folks. If the gamer does not like learning, don’t get into this. Thankfully there are moderators to turn to if things get ugly. In the end, I really can’t quite wrap my head around this game. I am not sure who is the target player here. This is complex, and involves a lot of learning.

Yes, the game has been around since 2003, so there must be a target audience. The presentation of this game is spectacular, to say the least. So if the gamer is not like I am, one who cannot stand learning and learning and learning, endlessly, then I guess it’s for them. I don’t know.

The Mass Effect series launched in 2007 to much critical acclaim, introducing players to a futuristic mesh of RPG and FPS elements with players assuming the role of Commander Shepherd, humanity’s aspiring Spectre. Across the first two titles he brings in the rogue Spectre Saren, discovers the Reaper threat, stops the Collectors’ from building a human-based Reaper and in Mass Effect 3, the final entry of the trilogy, he becomes the galaxy’s last hope of surviving an Extinction event the Reapers perpetuate every 50,000 years. Can ME3 live up to the hype the excellence of the first two titles created? Let’s find out.

In the original Mass Effect, players had myriad choices in everything from gear to abilities, and the second title worked to streamline this, though it did this too much. ME3 scales back some of the simplification in ME2 by adding more detail to both leveling up and weapon customization, both welcome changes.

The atmosphere in ME3 is phenomenal. The soundtrack ranges from tense and frantic to cautiously hopeful, from tragically uplifting to hauntingly beautiful and always perfectly complements the mood. The visual aesthetic is well done, giving off that futuristic, yet feasible vibe.

But the real selling point of the Mass Effect franchise is the story, and ME3 deliver this in spades, with one tiny caveat. The entire galaxy is in a war of survival with the Reapers, and it shows. The Citadel is cramped with denizens of every species, people are dying everywhere and everyone is in at least a slight state of panic, wondering where the Reapers will strike next. As the legendary Commander Shepard, you are tasked with finding a way to end the Reaper threat once and for all.

Another major selling points for the Mass Effect series was that your choices would carry-over into subsequent games, creating your own personal story. This is done exceedingly well in ME3, as you will run into old friends or old enemies, depending on how you handled events in the previous titles. Everyone, and I mean everyone, will make an appearance at some point, though only the base characters from the previous titles return as playable characters. You won’t be able to play as Kasumi or Zaeed, though if you had them they do make an appearance.

The only issue with the story is the ending, which really divided the Mass Effect community, with some feeling it was fine, if sparse, while others were angered at what they felt was a sharp change in their Shepard’s attitude. Personally I found the ending to be beautiful, and found myself wiping away a few tears, but I do understand where the other camp was coming from. So did Bioware, as they later released an update that closed a few plot holes and expanded on the ending without changing the core of it.

ME3 is a satisfying conclusion to an epic story spanning three wonderful games. If you are into Sci-fi, beautifully written characters and an amazingly detailed universe, you need to play the Mass Effect series. You will not regret it.
