The developers failed to translate the game from the cartoon characters and action. Although there is a lot of action, there is simply no keeping up with the anger issues and this tires the gamer too much even before the second hour is up.
Super Gamer Dude
There is one thing I have noticed about the Incredible Hulk, for a superhero he is a big disappointment. When tasked to do one thing, he can achieve it, yes, but why does he have to take so many detours and destroy a lot of properties along the way? What happens to the insurance of the vehicles, the buildings and whatever else he destroys? He is a rampaging bully who is hard to ignore, what with his green hulking body. It does not help there are so many bugs to the Xbox 360 version that the constant interruptions make it an installment type of play which is not good.
Somewhere along the way, people will get bored with all the chaos of the angry monster. Supposedly, with the help of Edward Norton as the voice of the incredible green giant, it should have improved the game, but it looks as if all the developers thought of was hiring Norton and did not go far in the development of the game itself.
Three years ago there was the release of The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and this version is much like that one. Even the landmarks are the same. I must admit that the destruction is brutal fun, but only so much destruction can go a long way. It gets boring after a while and disinterest soon sets in. hours of destruction the Hulk way is not as interesting as other games on Xbox.
What is really surprising is the incomplete graphics. I canÂ’t seem to get over this one detail and it is frustrating. The movie looked good, this one just fails to interest me. The characters are well detailed I must admit, but the background is poorly drawn. There are even times when the building blur and when the Hulk goes on top of a tall building, instead of a clear view, there is a smokey haze which is weird. The lightning effects donÂ’t look good at all, it is too amateurishly drawn.
What I noticed is that the game was really interesting in the first hour, then after that the constant rampage of the green giant soon became uneven. There are even anger issues in this game and what should not have made the Hulk angry did.
Again, this is a good story line with little follow up. The developers failed to translate the game from the cartoon characters and action. Although there is a lot of action, there is simply no keeping up with the anger issues and this tires the gamer too much even before the second hour is up.
