For those who have never heard of or played an Unreal Tournament game, Epic’s Unreal Tournament III is one PS3 game that is considered a 'must'. This is presented in the first person format filled with all the graphic violence that many gamers love. The sound is sharp and combined with the fantastic graphics, is a sight to behold. It is plain and simple, beautiful.

Those who like to get lost in the sci-fi world of gaming can obviously relish the world as presented in this PS3 game. The sound is realistic enough when played over the laptop’s speakers, but with the right headset, it is simply spectacular. Just make sure to tone down the volume for there are times the sound can be quite loud. The gameplay is fast and requires the player to be a fast thinker and quick on the draw as well. Analysis, and reflexes, that is the key to this game.

This game is action packed but it is also quite friendly for those new to it. There are choices for those who want to play alone and then there are the choices where they can play with others as well. This is a great way to get the training for the newbie player to combat the other players when the time comes. They can practice on the single player mode and fight off the bots that can present a fight which can be downright exhausting. There is also a hosting game where players can ask friends to play online or offline with them including the option for the host to allow keyboard and mouse users.

There is plenty of warfare in this game, but for those who wish to skip over to another kind of game altogether, they can just go to the other modes offered like the deathmatch, team deathmatch and capturing the flag. Although these are not warfare modes, they are still quite challenging and exhausting, in this way, Epic does not disappoint the warfare junkie.

There is also the glowing orb which many might think does not really give much excitement to the game and then get the surprise of their life when it does impact the game significantly. These orbs can make it easier to capture nodes. For those already with nodes, the orbs can make them invulnerable when it is around the player. As there are numerous types of nodes, imagine the chaos of the gameplay. All in all, this PS3 game is really for the veterans although it is safe to say that newbies may get a kick out of playing it. But a word of warning, this can be pretty intimidating and not for the fainthearted player.

Unreal Tournament III can grow on the newbie player fast enough; in fact it is quite addictive. The more the newbie learns the intricacies of the game, shifting from one type of weapon to another in a flash decision lend incredible excitement to the player. In short, this is an excellent first person warfare game that can build the character of a newbie player.
