1 Kirby and the Rainbow Curse - Wii U

Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush will see players take on the role of Kirby as he sets off on grand adventures in a hand-sculpted clay world. Draw lines on the touch screen of the Wii U GamePad controller to create rainbow-colored clay ropes to move Kirby around freely, or tap him to attack enemies or blast through obstacles. Transformations include a submarine, rocket and tank. In underwater levels, Kirby dons a swim mask. If his power level gets too low, a clay bandage appears on his head.
2 Super Mario 3D World - Wii U

In Super Mario 3D World, up to four players can join the action at any time, helping one another find stars, or competing to collect the most coins in a given stage. Gamers can use new power-ups to help them through the adventure, including Super Bells that turn them into a wall-climbing cat, or the Double Cherry that creates character clones. Super Mario 3D World makes full use of the GamePad, letting players tap the touch screen to freeze enemies, open door, or find invisible objects, or tilt the controller to change the vantage point and reveal hidden areas, and the game supports off-TV play.
3 Pac-Man and The Ghostly Adventures 2 - Wii U

In Pac-Man and The Ghostly Adventures 2, Lord Betrayus has unleashes an army of ghosts and ghoulies on PacWorld, the gang will have to get together to stop him. This time round, our hungry hero is joined by pals Spiral and Cylindria on a quest through PacWorld, Netherworld and beyond, as they zip into Outer Space and back in time to Prehistoric World! You’ll meet new friends – and baddies – from the TV show, as well as grabbing enhanced versions of power-ups from the first game: prepare to have the power of fire, ice or even supermassive size on your side.
4 Rodea the Sky Soldier - Wii U

Rodea the Sky Soldier will find gamers controlling a robotic humanoid whilst soaring through the sky to defend their kingdom from an ancient empire of machines. The story takes place in Garuda, a kingdom made up of floating islands in the sky, where a young, mechanically inclined girl named Ion stumbles upon the titular robot and brings it back to life. Soon, the ancient, terrestrial Naga Empire also returns, and players must take to the skies to dispatch massive Naga automatons, solve puzzles, collect valuable mech pieces, and uncover the truth about Rodea's past.
5 Shantae: Half-Genie Hero - Wii U

In Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, gamers hair-whip monsters, transform into magical creatures, and explore Sequin Land in this latest side-scrolling platformer. The story finds Shante whisked away to the Genie Realm to track down a powerful evil, and players take control of the heroine as she runs, jumps, swims, and belly dances to transform into specially skilled animals like an elephant, a crab, or a monkey. As gamers progress through chapters they can unlock new abilities, discover new forms of transportation, battle large bosses, and eventually foil the plans of the evil pirate Risky Boots.
6 Yoshi's Woolly World - Wii U

In Yoshi's Woolly World, the evil wizard Kamek has transformed all of Yoshi's friends into yarn and scattered them across the world, and only Yoshi remains to save the day. In Woolly World, Yoshi no longer produces eggs, instead dropping balls of yarn that can be used to tie up enemies or replace missing parts of the environment. Levels are filled with beads that can be used to acquire Power Badges that might make Yoshi more powerful, or rescue him from sticky situations. Various other collectibles are strewn throughout the stages, and collecting them all can unlock bonus games, secret levels, and Miiverse stamps.
7 The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy's Grand Adventure - Wii U

The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy's Grand Adventure will see players take Snoopy on a grand adventure through environments, created by his imagination, as he tries to find Charlie Brown and all his friends. Play together in two-player co-op, playing as Snoopy and Woodstock at the same time as they run, jump, and fly through levels to join your favourite characters from the Peanuts Movie. With Woodstock and the Beagle Scouts by his side Snoopy can unlock new abilities and performs special moves as he weaves his way through this magical journey.
8 Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two - Wii U

Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two returns Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to Wasteland, an alternate world filled with 80 years of forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions. But for the first time, Mickey and Oswald will join forces as true partners – Mickey with his magical paint brush that wields paint and thinner, and Oswald with his powerful remote control that allows him to command electricity. This new co-op play combined with enhanced in-game physics will further enhance the idea that “PlayStyle Matters” – a unique approach to gameplay pioneered by Warren Spector where players dynamically tackle different challenges in order to explore all possibilities and storylines.
9 New Super Mario Bros. U - Wii U

New Super Mario Bros. U. finds players joining Mario, Luigi, and Toad, as well as custom Mii characters, as they travel through the Mushroom Kingdom on another journey to save Princess Peach from Bowser and the bothersome Koopalings. This adventurous game also includes the Boost Rush and Coin Battle modes, which are new to this game. Other features allow you to keep playing Super Mario when others want to watch the television by switching play from the TV to the Wii GamePad. Suitable for the whole family, with this game you can join others around the globe by connecting to the Nintendo Network. 10 Sonic:: Lost World - Wii U

In Sonic: Lost World, the Deadly Six return and threaten to destroy his world, Sonic’s new moves & power-ups are the only way to defeat them before it’s too late. 11 Super Mario Maker - Wii U

Super Mario Maker lets players use assets from the rich history of games starring Nintendo's mustachioed plumber mascot to create, share, and play custom levels. Gamers use their GamePad and stylus to drag items, enemies, and obstacles from the palette onto the course, and they can also combine assets to unleash new creations, or shake items to unlock new abilities. Users can seamlessly switch between designing their level and playing on it, flip to six different game environments, or alter the graphics and gameplay elements by switching between four different Mario game styles. Levels can also be created in airship, castle, ghost house, ground, underground, and underwater environments.
12 Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze - Wii U

In Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, these Snowmad warriors have sent a deep chill through DK Island, turning the once tropical paradise into an icy nightmare, and it's up to Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, and Cranky Kong to save the day. Players run, jump, swim, launch themselves from barrels, and occasionally ride Rambi the rhinoceros through a variety of stages set on five islands filled with bananas, coins, and adventure. Tropical Freeze is the first new Donkey Kong Country title for the Wii U, and it makes use of the system's processing power to offer dynamic levels and a rotating camera, while multiplayer fans can enjoy some local co-op action.
13 Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric - Wii U

In Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, Sonic and his friends Tails, Knuckles and Amy encounter an ancient tomb sealed deep within an island, where they come across a powerful snake-like villain named Lyric. 14 Rayman Legends - Wii U

In Rayman Legends, Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies are off wandering through an enchanted forest when they discover a mysterious tent filled with a series of captivating paintings. As they look more closely, they notice each painting seems to tell the story of a mythical world. While focusing on a painting that shows a medieval land, they are suddenly sucked into the painting, entering the world, and the adventure begins. The gang must run, jump and fight their way through each world to save the day and discover the secrets of every legendary painting.
15 Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker - Wii U

In Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, the action finds players exploring maze-like mini-universes, using Fez-like perspective-altering camera rotations to avoid traps, reveal hidden areas and items, and reach the gold power star at the end of each level. Familiar enemies from the Mario Bros. universe also make life more difficult for Toad, as his treasure-laden backpack makes him slow and unable to jump.Toad does have a few tricks up his sleeve, however, as he can pluck turnips and throw them at foes, use a pickaxe to dig into the ground and discover new areas, and eat double cherries to briefly create a clone of himself. There are more than 70 stages to explore throughout.
16 Shovel Knight - Wii U

In Shovel Knight, gamers use a shovel to slash enemies, unearth treasure, and bounce around classic 8-bit environments in this latest side-scrolling platformer. Players take on the role of the titular adventurer, who travels across the land battling the Order of No Quarter and their evil leader The Enchantress in hopes of reuniting with his love Shield Knight. Each stage has its own theme and offers unique enemies and hidden areas, and most levels include new sub-weapons that can be upgraded by collecting loot. The game also includes a mission-based Challenge mode and a more difficult NG+ mode.
17 New Super Luigi U - Wii U

New Super Luigi U offers players an entirely new experience as they guide the oft-overlooked Luigi through familiar levels from New Super Mario Bros. U. With Mario missing, gamers must use Luigi's extreme jumping and sliding abilities to speed through more than 80 levels in under 100 seconds apiece. Once again, up to five players can get into the action at the same time, with the invincible thief Nabbit taking Mario's place, and gamers can share their top scores via the Miiverse feature. New Super Luigi U requires a copy of New Super Mario Bros. U.
18 Disney DuckTales Remastered - Wii U

Disney DuckTales Remastered will see gamers once again take control of the plumed plutocrat Scrooge McDuck as he travels through African mines, snow-capped Himalayan peaks, Amazonian jungles, and even lunar craters in search of ancient treasures. Each side-scrolling level features updated graphics designed to give the 2D-action a 3D feel, and every level is filled with treasure to collect, secret areas to discover, enemies to battle, and traps to elude. This version of the game includes a new tutorial level designed to teach players basic skills, such as how to use Scrooge's pogo jump and can swing. Gamers can also keep track of their progress and status in the new museum, or deposit coins and go for swim in the new playable Money Bin area.
19 Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures - Wii U

Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures is an action-packed platformer for Wii U that promises spooky, spirited action for all-comers. Having escaped from the eerie Netherworld, a suite of scary spectres has invaded PacWorld, creating mayhem, and generally making a nuisance of themselves. Teaming up with his best friends, Spiral and Cylindria, Pac sets out to free PacWorld from the supernatural infestation by running, jumping and chomping his enemies, one by one. As well gobbling ghosties, Pac can frighten them first, making them easier targets. He can also devour a range of power-up berries to gain new abilities, letting him freeze enemies, roast them, and much more.
20 Skylanders Giants - Wii U

Skylanders Giants introduces sixteen new characters to build on the magic of Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure, including super-sized Giants with powers to match, as well as the new LightCore Skylanders that light-up in the game and in the real-world as players’ transport them to Skylands using the Portal of Power that builds on the magic of the toys. Players once again lead a team of heroic Skylanders in an all new adventure to save their world. Portal Masters will journey through new areas of Skylands, encountering new enemies, solving fun puzzles, overcoming different hazards and obstacles, and finding a variety of collectable rewards and treasure.
21 The Smurfs 2 - Wii U

Smurfs 2 is an Action/Adventure Platformer based on the story of the second Smurf's movie. Taking place in New York and Paris, players can take control of their favorite blue heroes in a quest to rescue Smurfette from the evil Gargamel.
22 Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Director's Cut - Wii U

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams Director's Cut is a challenging fast-paced platformer with a twist. Dash through tricky levels and transform the whole world at will in this fast-paced award-winning platformer. The unique mixture of playful graphics that pack a visual punch and tight controls with the challenge of retro era platforming will blow your mind. Players can warp Giana's dream into a nightmarish world of wonder, changing her abilities and interactions. Players must use their skills, speed, brains, and powers to defeat the dangers that populate her twisted dreams.
23 Mighty No. 9 - Wii U

Mighty No. 9 finds gamers controlling an android named Beck through classically styled 2D platform action. Beck is one of nine powerful Might Number combat robots, but he must defeat his fellow androids when a mysterious virus causes them to go berserk. Players can enter the nine main stages in any order they choose, and when then last robot is defeated three new stages are unlocked. The action features plenty of running, jumping, blasting, and dashing, and gamers can acquire new weapons and abilities from fallen foes.
